Spam botnet charging per success
And probably uses google to generate invoices
(old news - 10:48PM Friday Jul 20 2007)
The image below is the usual spam post that is captured by our forum spam filters. It came from a comcast IP, almost surely a rooted box. As you can see it ends with a magic code. Lets see how successful this little campaign has been so far.. »www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=3p···+Search

wow 1320 hits already in google. What a cool page-rank boost that is for the listed domains! The first outfit apparently spends a lot of time on getting their link spammed around everywhere: »www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%2···=Search

If this particular link spam operation charges each domain 10 cents per placed link it has already made the operator over $10,000. Nice business - if you have the morals of swamp slime!

nice spam removal

I'm very impressed by the spam removal here. I don't EVER recall seeing spam from an automated bot on these boards.
