| I just left DISH. Horrible Horrible service. They couldn't get the service to work right after 4 months, and they had no clue why it was. I'm not a big Charter fan and had hoped Dish would be a cheaper alternative, but 4 months of service outages, voice sync issues, general incompetence, and long waits on the phone sent me back to cable. At least for the next year Charter's giving me a $25 a month credit to "buy back my Dish", so my bill for a year anyway. I really wanted Dish to work, but their subcontracts are not properly training and their are MAJOR communication issues within that company between the folks on the phone and the installers. |

And now with the Dish and DirecTV yearly rate hikes, they'll be up to cable rates in no time too. |

The reason is that they are contractors and not direct installers that work for dishnetwork themselves. That in itself is the reason why one doesn't know what the other is doing. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |

| reply to imrf There haven't been yearly increases yet on either dishnetwork or directv. I think there has been 3 increases in 10 or 11 years total. -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |

| This year and last both raised the prices, it was covered on many sites. »[DIRECTV] March 1st Price Increase - clearly states that last year and this year DirecTV increased its rates. And this site, »ekb.dbstalk.com/17, clearly shows the the same thing. You only fooling yourself if you think that they haven't raised the rates twice in the last two years. |

| I never said not 2 times in the past 2 years. That is a small trend to see yearly increases this year would then constitute yearly increases.
I said 3 or 4 times total in the past 11 years. At this point that is better then the bi annual raping at the hands of the cable cos -- "It's always funny until someone gets hurt......and then it's absolutely friggin' hysterical!" |

| said by BosstonesOwn : At this point that is better then the bi annual raping at the hands of the cable cos I have never seen bi annual increasing from any of the cable companies I have ever used, so it doesn't really matter to me. But now that they have had the taste of annual rate increases they are not going to stop. It's a start of a new trend for them, wait and see.
BTW, yes, you did say that there hasn't been yearly rate increases. said by BosstonesOwn : There haven't been yearly increases yet on either dishnetwork or directv.
Guess you must have missed what you typed. |
