[Other] Cisco 871

Hey Guys,

I'm having trouble setting up a cisco 871 router (running 12.4) to have it do exactly what I want it to do.

I'm using SDM (seems to be my problem I think) I have no problem using HyperTerm if needed.

Here is what I have and what I'm trying to do;

Cisco 871 (Router/Gateway) Running 12.4(9)T2
128MB Memory / 28MB Flash
FE 0 - Empty
FE 1 - Gigabit Switch - Connects my media devices (360/HTPC)
FE 2 - Media/File Server - This needs to reside on the DMZ- allowing all torrent connections to go to it- yet have full access to the internal LAN and LAN have access to it
FE 3 - WRT54G - Providing wireless only - I want it setup though so the 871 provides the IPs- not the WRT54G
FE 4 - Cable Modem (Connects to Rogers Extreme Plus Service (I get about 14M Down, 1.3MB Up)

I want all devices to be DHCP (provided by the 871), with the exception of the Media/File Server- for simplicity. I prefer to use the 10.x.x.x IP scheme- but I have no problem changing over.

I want to be able to Remote Desktop to the DMZ Server (I already have DynDns setup, but it can't seem to get through the Cisco since I introduced it).

I use OpenDNS- but I can figure this out later as I go.

I regularly run 3-5 desktops (wired) on the network, 3 laptops (wireless), File/Media Server, Xbox 360, Wii. Once a week I have 4 additional desktops introduced for a few hours for a LAN- which connect through the Gigabit Switch. So I would like to try and maintain a low latency, high speed network.

I also have a 24 port Cisco 2950 that is unused that we can switch in if it will help overall.

If anymore information is needed, just let me know.

Can someone help me set this up? I would probably even throw you some cash via PayPal for makin this work for me. I simply just don't have time to figure it out at this point.

Thanks!

Marcer
