I placed an order for a T1 circuit and after awhile ATT determined that special construction would be required. I have been provided with a quote of about $9,300, which entails 11-13 repeaters to be installed in order to get my conditioned copper pairs. When AT&T provides a special construction quote, is that what it will cost or is that just an estimate where the costs could be even higher?

A quote unlike an estimate is a binding document. The vendor agrees to carry out the construction described in the quote at the specified price.
Unless you request additional services, the quote is the cost.
Get a written confirmation and a signature of the sales supervisor to confirm. |

Do you live in the middle of nowhere or something? Because speakeasy can put a T1 in my house for $400/month flat rate. |

Do you live in the middle of nowhere or something? Because speakeasy can put a T1 in my house for $400/month flat rate. Thats most likely because your lines are fine and didn't need to be treated. Or like you said - lives pretty far from the CO which is most likely the case due to all the repeaters needed to be added. |
