Service Outage - Aug 27

As of right now DSL is not working. I'm posting this via a dial-up connection. I don't know where and how many customers are out, but I can't connect in Orleans. 310-SURF has an automated message stating there is service problems in my area (according to my phone number).

Things are functioning in London, (not going to cycle the modem however just in case the login server has broken).
What time did you loose it?

Not sure, but it was sometime between 7:30 and 9:00.

Still not working. My router can't establish a PPPoE session at all. So, if you're still connected, now would be a bad time to disconnect or power cycle your gear.

The only anomaly I had noticed was that a wireless access point I have renewed it's IP lease around 10:20 - not sure why - could be related, but I don't see how.
Hey, there is a reason my DSL modem is on a UPS system, this is one of them.

Hey I am also in Orleans, and have had no problems this evening. Hopefully it does not come my way!

Re: Service Outage - Aug 27

I experienced a brief outage as well in downtown Toronto during the afternoon on the 27th.

I have noticed over the last couple of days that there have been frequent dropouts of streaming radio as well, lots of rebuffering. During these occurrences I can still surf but it's useless listening to streaming radio due to the lags and drop outs.

well i have sync and can surf some sites fine.
for me, many sites simply do not load.
doing a tracert reveals many routers not responding.

@anonymouse.org

I'd suggest using OpenDNS entries or any other Free DNS service.

openDNS
* 208.67.222.222
* 208.67.220.220

Or try any of these, i use 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2 myself.

Service provider: vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net
* 4.2.2.1
* 4.2.2.2
* 4.2.2.3
* 4.2.2.4
* 4.2.2.5
* 4.2.2.6
