After receiving my magicjack in the mail and seeing that out of the $15 for shipping only $1.15 was actually used for shipping,I sent it back for a refund.Got the refund but no GST that was charged on the purchase.After much investigating,turns out that this guy is charging YOU GST and doesn't even have a business liscense.So if you add $13.85 and 5.90, smells like a real ripoff to me.I am sure revenue canada might think so too. |

Wan't to talk ripoffs? calculate all those little taxes they add on to your cell or home phone.
I have had a working flawless Majicjack and someone said it isn't ready to be your only home line.
I disagree I have had cable phone and had alot of problems with a huge company.
I am using only a majicjack as a home phone and when I am not home the computer is off - wouldn't be there anyway to answer the call. All the callers that wish to leave a message I get via email from Majicjack.
What is the stock symbol?
I do have a cell phone but haven't tried the call forwarding.

Hi guys , Well as you all should be aware they make there money on shipping not the product , Just like as seen on TV products the product is free or for only $1.99 and all you pay is the shipping well this is there fee which by laws they can charge you as they wish . This is how they really make thee money. AS for G.S.T they cannot charge you G.S.T without providing you with there G.S.T # But after all said and done I had one sent to me and this is pretty good, I own my own telecom company in Canada and I added a Canada # to it and this is perfect. Oh I also went online and registered majicjack.ca in case they ever want to to business in Canada they would have to talk to me 1st . But if you know anyone that needs a Canadian # attached to it let me know we can do this. |

I paid $39+ I called 5 people and my own phone and every phone I called on magic jack said " not answered" I called them same people with my house phone and they were home and got no phone call. I did everything on their instructions and got nothing. I wanted to cancel but like AOL you can not contact them and I got shafted again. so I canceled my credit card for a different number but they made close to a million dollars on suckers like me. |

Dial it as: *675*141234567
or
5*141234567
Most of the time Canadian numbers do work. So you do not have to use this method all the time. |

| No, sorry for the confusion, I can call out with no problem at all. I read on a post farther up about having a canadian number for the magic jack for users to in Canada to call a canadain number instead of the assigned US #. Is there a way to do this? Thank-you!

| Not yet. The official MJ response is 'soon' which can mean anything.
The MJ supplier here in Canada claims on his web site that he will have Canadian numbers soon but there will be an annual change for it over and above what MJ charges. Google 'magicjack Canada' and you will find his website.
I only use my MJ for outgoing calls.

| I love my MagicJack. But, I have to agree with those who feel the company crosses ethical lines. The MJ website screams used-car salesman dressed in a plaid suit. The 30-day trial is always "good until today." Every day, today is the last day. After completing the 30-day trial order you start getting tacky offers like, "if you'd like your order sooner, you can pay more. Otherwise it will take 15-20 days."
I don't mind someone making money. But, the way MJ does it, I always feel like they have contempt for my intelligence.

MOE C! I am in Newfoundland and have a magicjack which works perfect. The drawback! Having to use a US number. I am waiting for a Canadian number and if you can help me with that, would appreciate it very much.
