I have had Direcway for 3 years then move got dial up for 3 years. I got sick of the 28.8, disconnects, V92 modem and damn callwave. Since I am a warez monkey, I went ahead and got Hughesnet which they did improve their hardware. Only one thing that’s missing on the dish is a cover, its really ugly having no cover for the bird
When I was with Direcway, small sheet of snow or rain will screw it up, Since I got this new stuff. It’s been improve for heavy weather.
If I was you, I would only get Hughesnet as a Last resort. Once verzion gets dsl here, I switching.
11-06-2008 - Its been a my year and have been fap 7 times but its not my fault. So I start getting hnfapmon and make their life less headaches and not worrying about kicking the bucket. (FAP) I have 6 computers now and so far its going strong. sometimes needs retart in the morning and sometimes it don't. I get 12 kbps every time during the day. I guess hughesnet is throttling not only me but everybody else. I swear, as soon Verizon gets DSL here. I am GONE but I still would help people out on the Hughesnet forum.
