I am currently employed by Charter and have had the services for 6 years now. I have had the internet service in three different nodes in Belleville with little to no problems.
With each increase in speeds, employees receive the middle package as compensation. My speeds are nearly always within 90% of what I am supposed to receive.
When I was first installed, I had no clue about video or internet services. I had just started with the company. The installer could not get my internet to work and blamed it on provisioning saying that "sharkfin" modems were funny like that. He said to give it a day or two. Next day I talk to my trainer and he uses my house as an example to the other trainees on how to do a proper install. Come to find out, the ground block was a very old style that does not pass return.
I currently have a 9022 Moxi with the mate, minor issues here and there with it. My internet speeds are 10/1 and I average speeds extremely close to what my Ambit modem is provisioned for. Had VoIP for 3 months, continually dropping calls and such. From the tap to the modem, could not find any issues and the techs that service the area could also not find any issues. So I dropped the phone service. Neighbor two doors down who is off the same mini-bridger but different leg has had no problems for the past year.
All in all, the services are good...price would be an issue for me if I had to pay typical consumer rates. Being an employee I won't bad mouth the company, but they could definitely work on the customer service aspect.
