UPDATE 18 November 2008:
FiOS came to town last month, and I got it installed last week. Goodbye Comcast, thanks for raising rates while not giving me anything extra for the past 4 years.

I can't wait till I get FiOS. Competition would do Comcast good in my area. They've continued to raise rates without any increase in throughput.
I signed up through »www.comcastoffers.com and got $19.99 for 6 months, plus a complete rebate on my Motorola SB5100 cable modem. My father-in-law did the same and got their $75 cash back in addition to the 6 month deal and the rebate. So far, neither
one of us has had any problems with connection speeds or connectivity.
