    Consistant 3000+/250+ speeds...Been very happy with Comcast Cable TV (HDTV) and internet services...I see that Bell South might be pushing Comcast to offer the 4000/384 package for 10 bucks more...I've learned the hard way that there is ALOT to be said for a consistant connection...I'm sticking with Comcast until something can smoke the speeds...I heard Cox Cable is offering a 5000/768 package for around 50 bucks...Hopefully Comcast will offer that soon!!!!

    Comcast has sucked for the last month or so...They were out from Boston to LA and here in ATL last month for awhile...Coinidence?

    After about 6 yrs with them I am considering a switch...If Earthlink could get it's cable service in here I would be gone already!

    5/17/05 UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Problem resolved...This one was new to me...Turns out the after living in this house for over 1 1/2 years somehow the signal faded to my modem...Who knows...I noticed that when I bypassed the splitter it worked ok...better...I picked up a cable amplifier from Radio Shack...I can't stand Radio Shack by the way...But if you run into this issue get the amplifier that is powered by a wall outlet...So I'm good to go...Comcast is off of my Sh#@ list...

    8/20/05 UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Been a little shaky lately...Feels the same as back in May but not as bad or consistant...Speeds have been solid in the low 3000's/360's

    9/4/05 UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Had Comcast out yesterday and the dude said it acutally looked like something had been hit by lightning...They ran a new line and fixed some stuff and I just ran the speakeasy test and got 6.2megs down...I'm trying to do a line quality test because it seemed like I was getting some packet loss playing BF2...But we'll see...

    8/27/06 UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Got rid of Comcast TV because their customer service completely sucks...Still have the internet and speeds have been pretty sweet 6 ish down and 3 ish up...But did I mention that their customer service sucks & it costs 62.95 with the modem...I will most likely be switching to Bell South DSL in the near future because it's sooooooooooo much cheaper, under 40 bucks and they are throwing in a bunch of incentives...All for now...

    To respond to the idiot that made the comment about "just call them" I've sat on the phone for an average of 45 min getting bouced from one moron to another...My guess is that there's a good chance you're one of those morons... ? If you've had a more positive experience with their customer service department then you are either a liar or a liar...

    DSL has become much more competitive in this area and cheaper...I'm still with Comcast but what a bunch of retards working there...I pray that FIOS will be here soon and I can dump these morons for good...Got rid of their cable and went with DirecTV...WAY BETTER!!!! If you can get the 6meg DSL from someone get it...Comcast is a bunch of complete morons...

    UPDATE 10/2/08 **********************************************

    Ordered AT&T DSL on Tuesday and had it running on Thursday...Tech came out Friday to dial things in & I'll be dumping Comcast today...After tech messed with lines went from 2000/400 to 6000/400 for 13 dollars (this is without a home phone line cheaper than Comcast, plus I get (eventually) 175 dollars back, 125 for switching from Cable and 50 for modem...PLUS...I get 20 hours worth of dial up a month which was a big selling point for me because I do use dial up at times when I travel so now I save that 7 bucks a month...So I'm saving 20 bucks a month and getting a bunch of cash and I can now tell Comcast to F*** OFF...I've been with them for 8 or 9 years...

    My sentiments

    Your last update is exactly how I felt about them 4 years ago (and still do). I thought it was just me, until I asked a few people I knew that had them for service.
    I would rather string a line with soup cans to a friends house and make my own flip-it cartoons than deal with them again.
